Hey,
I'm after a little help....
I have a task of dropping 1 image into multiple different-sized boxes to so we can see images in multiple different crops. (using InDesign) I was hoping to automate this to the below process:
1. Set up my empty boxes to the different crops I need.
2 drop the image into the first box
3 ideally, the image would then “magically” be duplicated into the remaining boxes to scale.
However, when researching into this it looks like it can't be done.
If anyone has any info, it would be very much appreciated!
Emma 😊

Easily scriptable - I can help you if you work on a PC - but if you work on a Mac you need to wait for someone else.

Willi is absolutely right.
A variant:
3.1 Select the compound path and set it to Contents Fill Proportionally
3.2 Place the image
The compound path will be filled proportionally with the placed image.

I'm not certain, but I think you and Willi are misinterpreting the request. I read this as wanting the image cropped in differnt ways in multiple frames, not spread through multiple frames.

Exactly. The same image placed to multiple frames - with different proportions.

Hi Willi,
Thank you for that. However, I am after trying to put 1 singular image into multiple boxes indeevisually. Not split one image into multiple boxes.
Thank you though!
