I cannot figure out how to make the last page of my book use a different master page so it can have no page number.
I am making my first book in InDesign. It will be a quick user guide flip book for a software program.
I have a cover page and then seven double pages with page numbers, (pages 2 through 13.) Page 14 is a stand-alone page that should be the back cover. But it has the page number from the double-page master pages.
I would like to have page 14 be numberless.
I would also like to "start at 1" on what is actually page 2 if that is possible.
Thank you.

In publishing, right pages are always odd, left pages are always even. One can deselect Allow Selected Spread to Shuffle, drag pages around manually and put a 1 on page 2, but I would not recommend it.

In the Pages panel with page 14 selected, either Alt click the word [None] at the top of the Pages panel to assign no master page, or Ctrl Shift click the page number on page 14 with the Selection tool and delete it. (Mac: Opt click the word [None] at the top of the Pages panel to assign no master page, or Cmd Sh click the page number on page 14 and delete it.)

Thank you so much! I did not think to try ALT+Click.
That did the trick.
I can live with starting at Page 2 and will see if the powers that be can as well.

Thank you, Barb! I can't tell you how much time I wasted trying to find out how to delete page numbers until I found your answer.
