How to split a text in a continuous mode? Split style option it seems is damaging the text structure

In the attached example is clear how the split menu in Indesign is not a solution for flow continuous as text is fragmented in horizontal reading. Seems the headings (also splitted) are the culprits.xxx.jpg

It's because the lower-level subheads are set to span. Set the heads and body to split 2 columns on the bottom half of the page.

Fortunately Barb went ahead and this post got a brilliant solution.

 

Somebody marked correct and thought this privilege/prerogative was inherent only to that one that originally posted the problem. Also the access...
