I originally purchased the boxed version of CS5 which I lost after a house move. However, the download link is missing in my Adobe account but does show the serial number. I've tried the prodesigntools.com site but this just points me to the CC app version free trial.
Can anyone help?

I'm pretty sure it's just called "free trial" - you should be able to use your serial number - as long as activation server(s) are still online.

I don't think those installers are available publicly anymore.

PC or Mac? Standalone InDesign or a suite pakage?
I have archived copies of some PC installers...

Any chance you also have updates?

Perhps not installers, but I've got some old machines lying around with program folders for updated versions that can be copied and pasted into a previously installed version. That's how I have a fully patched CS6 installed on my new laptop.
Send me a PM with waht you need.

Thanks for the replies guys! I managed it using prodesigntools, just took a bit of digging.
Cheers!

Keep in mind that you have the base release and there are no bug patch downloads available. The only way I know to get updated program files now is to copy them from an updated backup.

Adobe CS5 is dead as dead can be. It is not running on new computer and you can't download or install it any more.

Please stop telling people they cannot use old versions on systems you know nothing about. Lots of "obsolete" software can be made to run on newer PCs with a bit of tecnical knowhow and creativity, and if that's waht the user wants to do we should be trying to help, not chastise them.

I'm pretty sure the problem is only the other way around - installing latest CC on the old system - like Windows Vista - not sure about Win7.

Moc OS dropped support for 32 bit applications some time ago, I believe, so many older programs really can't be installed on that platform, but PCs are different.

Do you still have Pagemaker going? 🙂

I think I have it on an old win7 machine. 😉

Don't you know it doesn't work on Windows 7? 🙂

Then it must be XP.
I know I still had the installation disks on the shelf as recently as six months ago. Quark too.

No, you could very well have it on Win7....PM7 actually works fine on Win7....and Win8, annnnd Win10. I've been able to use it without major issues in all 3 versions (I'm looking at it open on my Win10(64bit) machine as we speak), although I don't out of practice use those, nor do I recommend it (it was more for sh*ts and giggles)

Hi, CS5 may be dead, but it does still run on newer PCs. It can be downloaded via the prodesigntools.com site.
