Images Appear Blurry When Exporting to PDF

Images look blurry when I export to a PDF, how do I stop this?

Export how?
Which PDF pre-set?
What is the effective ppi in the original document?

In what format is the image?

Is it placed or pasted?

Never paste any image. Place them as linked files. JPG and PNG are rafer images. Depending on the original and final resolution they might be recalculated and loose resolution. Depending on their quality settings in PDF export they might loose also quality. Both settings can make images blurry. 
Is there a specific reason, why you chose to use PNGs?

Okay, and because of the transparent background PNG's have and also as that is all I have been given

Transparency is even better supported with PSD, TIFF, PDF, PDP and AI. 

If you need better quality avoid PNG, and use files with higher resolution, or if available with vectors like PDFor AI files. 
Avoid copy and paste!
