Hello all,
I am trying to place text from a Word document and ensured I used the same style names in Word as InDesign. when I go file > place, I am told there are "4 style name conflicts" (see image). I am not sure how this is happening, as the names are the same.
additionally, if I map the styles to the correct names and place them, they come in in the incorrect style (always H4). Does anyone know what could cause this?
Thanks!
Claire
Typically, I use custom style mapping when names don't match, i.e., map Heading 1s in Word to Head1s in InDesign.
Since your names already match, try Import Styles Automatically, and set Paragraph Style Conflicts to Use InDesign Definition.
