Incremental indent in subsequent paragraphs

Is there a way to increment the indent in each subsequent paragraph?

For example: the first one left indent is 0.

The second one, 2mm. Third, 4mm; fourth, 6mm and so on...?

My doc will have:

4. Para four

5. Para five

1a. Para one A

6. Para six

I need to compare with its previous number and with its previous paragraph.
