Hola.

Ey, thank you so much. I exported like IDML and save with other name.

I think I haven't a problem now. I cleaned my fonts library too 🙂

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

First, are you indeed running the latest InDesign 19.5? If so, try to revert to 19.4 as a test - will it make a difference? YOu can do so from the Creative Cloud app:

Also, you mentioned that InDesign crashes on attempt to package a file, but also when opening files. To package a file you, obviously, need to be able to open it first. So do I understand correctly that the problem doesn't happen with all documents?

It probably won't help you now - but you should make a habit of doing SAVE AS with a new name - at least at the end of the day.

Back to your problem - where are you trying to package your document - locally or remotely - network / external drive ?

If you are able to open your document - do IDMLing - export as IDML, open, save with a new name - do not overwrite your original file.

Fonts - check if you don't have multiple copies installed on your system - this includes extra copy in the Fonts folder next to your INDD file.

Unreliable performance from InDesign after an upgrade can sometimes be fixed by deleting your InDesign preferences. This will reset the program to its defaults which should result in better performance (although since the advent of Sonoma there is always the chance of the whackiness continuing).

To reset preferences on a Mac:

The User Library folder in which InDesign’s preferences are stored is hidden by default on most Macintoshes. To access it make sure that InDesign is closed and click on the desktop to launch a Finder Window (Command-N). With this window in column view follow the path User>Home folder (it’s the folder with an icon that looks like a house—it may have the user’s name rather than “Home”) and click on the Home folder. With the Option Key pressed choose Library from the Finder Go Menu. “Library” will now appear within the Home folder. Within the Library folder find the folder called Preferences and within it find the folder called “Adobe InDesign” and the file called “com.adobe.InDesign.plist” and delete both that folder and that file. When InDesign is next launched it will create new preference files and the program will be restored to its defaults.

The advantage of manually deleting preference files in this manner is that after you’ve reset up the program (make sure that no document window is open) to your liking, you can create copies of your personalized “mint” preference files (make sure that you quit the program before copying them—that finalizes your customization) and use them in the future to replace any corrupt versions you may need to delete.

Your explanation is super interesting, thank you so much, I already know how to access the library folder, but I couldn't find the file: "com.adobe.InDesign.plist", it doesn't exist in my library 😞 ?
What I did was clear the cache....
