InDesign 2026 crashes on right-click

New Here ,
Nov 01, 2025 Nov 01, 2025

When pressing right-click on an image the app crashes/shuts down.
I already tried to remove the cache.

Does anybody have an idea on how to fix?

What steps did you follow when you "already tried to remove the cache"? A complete set of steps is listed here: https://www.rockymountaintraining.com/adobe-indesign-rebuilding-preferences-cache/

It's probably worth a gentle reminder that it's fun to upgrade to the newest version when it is released, but not a good idea to move important work over to it until at least the .1 patch.

What is the OS and does this happen with every image, INDD file? I just tried on a MAC and it did not crash for me.

Hi @Sebastian Soerensen,

I wanted to follow up with you. Did the expert recommendations assist in fixing the crashing issue? If the problem persists, please inform me of any changes in behavior after attempting that step and whether it crashes on all files or just specific ones.

I look forward to hearing back.

Abhishek
