indesign 2026 workspace

I installed InDesign 2026. I customize the workspace layout the way I want, but when I close the file and reopen it, everything resets to default. I have to rearrange the workspace every time. I didn’t have this issue in InDesign 2025 — it started after installing 2026.

Thanks for reaching out. Would you mind trying to manually reset InDesign's preferences (https://adobe.ly/3MZlRsL) and checking if it helps?

Disclaimer: Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings, and InDesign will launch with default settings. You can also save a backup of the folders in case you want to. The location is mentioned in the help article.
