InDesign book getting hung up when making a pdf

I've been trying to make a pdf of an indesign (latest version of CC) book and it keeps stalling. Once it stalls, I can not quit or cancel and have to force quit. Any thoughts on how to get it to work?

For troubleshooting you could export one half (or any part) of the chapters and so - step by step - isolate the "naughty" chapter.

Hi Tina,

In addition to Fenza's suggestion, I would also suggest you to export file as IDML to your desktop and open the file from Desktop and then try to export it.

But this suggestion will work only if this is happening with one file. If it is happening with multiple files, please try resetting preferences for InDesign: Set preferences in Adobe InDesign
