Howdy?
I have a couple of completed manuscripts done in Indesign.
I synced all my styles and chapters and made the books.
All went well.
However, I want to change or add some text to one of the chapters
and wonder if I have to re-sync for the changes to go through.
I believe that is correct and the same process is used as the original syncing.
Does this sound correct? Can anyone confirm that for me?

I'm not quite sure I follow your question, but the answer is "yes and no."
There is no fixed requirement to re-sync a Book when file changes are made,. although you will probably want to Update Numbering before printing or export. But chapters can have wildly varying styles and layouts — avoid different page sizes, though — and come out just fine. The purpose of sync is to make sure all chapters use the same layout and style elements, which is usually preferred.

So sync if you want to make sure all styles and layouts are identical across the component files, but you don't "have to" do it for any general reason.
