inDesign CC 2019 - Pages Missing

New Here ,
Oct 22, 2018 Oct 22, 2018

Every time I open a new document in inDesign my Pages and Links panels are removed. I need to go into Window and reenable the panels every time. I've tried saving my workspace after I enable the panels but they still disappear every time I open a new document. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

I have removed the new Properties panel from my workspace and saved. Viola. No more having to reset the workspace. Seems the Properties panel is not ready for prime time.

I have to say, no I'm not experiencing that. Are you on Mac or Windows? Your workspace is just an XML file that lives on your hard drive. I'm wondering if you're running into a permissions issue or just some type of corruption. I've pasted the path to your Workspaces folder below. I'd try quitting InDesign, moving all of the workspaces out of that folder, then relaunch InDesign to see if that helps. Worst case, you can move those files back in if it doesn't work.

I have to reset my workspace every time I open a doc. It's a bug with OS X Mojave and CC 2019. It's been crickets on my forum post. I have set up a key command to reset my workspace. A pain, but thankfully a quick remedy.

I was using the keyboard shortcut for Pages as a temporary band-aid, but your answer seems to have worked. Thanks for the responses!

I am having this same problem and I am on Windows 7 with CC 2019. My panel that contains Pages, Links and Properties disappears every time I open InDesign or change to a different document. I have my workspace set with these to be shown and even when I reset my workspace they do not appear until I go to Windows > Pages and then the ENTIRE panel with everything (Pages, Links, etc.) will display again. I will have to try to remove the Properties panel to see if that fixes the problem.

After further experimentation I also had to remove the PDF Comments Panel (NEW CC 2019) as well as the Properties panel for the rest of my Panels (Pages, Links etc) to stay visible. The PDF Comments and the Properties Panel keep disappearing no matter what my workspace is set to.
