InDesign CC Crashes Automatically When Opening a Specific File

Indesign CC closes automatically when i open an indesign file . This does not happen with all the indesign files but with only 1 file which i worked recently and i donot have another copy of it .Pleaase HELP !!!!

Make a copy of it and save it as an IDML document, then reopen it as an IDML document, that will clear out all the crud that builds up and that can cause document corruption. Let us know if that works or not.

OK, the next thing to try is the divide and rule method.

Divide the document in two, open each half in turn, if one half opens correctly and the other half doesn't, divide the "bad half" in half again and continue to repeat the procedure. Hopefully you'll isolate the issue that's causing the corruption.

Thank you for your guidancem, but this dint work either.. as soon as i run the script and select the damaged file indesign closes automatically.. i feel helpless !!
