InDesign CC - Frame and content resize together, not separately

In only one document out of many, the frame and content resize together, not separately. In the previous documents, the Frame Fitting Options are set without Auto-Fit and Content Fitting is set to none, In the problem doc the default for Options seems to be Auto-Fit checked and Content Fitting set to Fill Frame Proportionally. Should I clear Options to separate the resize? And if that's what I need, how to I set it as the default?

This will be a two-step process, Jim:

  1. Select the existing frames and disable these options in Object > Fitting > Frame Fitting options, then
  2. Deselect all, return to Object > Fitting > Frame Fitting options and disable them again for all future frames (document defaults are set in an open file with no objects selected).

You can also reset default via Object styles for both, if you are familiar with them.

You are welcome, Jim.

Because document defaults are set when no objects are selected—we sometimes change defaults inadvertently when we think we have selected a frame, but actually haven't—and then InDesign punishes us for that mistake for days!
