Please provide information about what version of InDesign and what version of Windows that you are using. Please also report any recent updating that you might have done to either InDesign or your operating system. Also provide a screenshot of any error alerts that might have popped up on your screen. Otherwise there is not enough information here to help you.

Install InDesign v17.4. That is the only version of InDesign 2022 that will work. Nothing newer, nothing older.

Hi Frans,
I know there currently is an issue with starting up InDesign 2022 version 17.4.2.77 on macOS with some machines. There is some evidence that this is caused by an update of the Creative Cloud Desktop App some days before.
Don't know if this is the same on Windows 11 machines as well.

Try resetting your preferences:
Windows: Start InDesign, and then press Shift+Ctrl+Alt. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
macOS: While pressing Shift+Option+Command+Control, start InDesign. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
A dialog will appear asking to delete the InDesign Preferences, select 'Yes' on this dialog.

I had the same problem with InDesign 16.4 on Mac OS Morave! The older versions are not online, but Adobe gave me an installation of 16.0 that runs. But it can not be that we have to downgrade because of the changes, Adobe MUST ensure that an older running system remains stable!
