InDesign contents list order

Explorer ,
May 01, 2024 May 01, 2024

Hi there. I have some copy ordered like this in an ID doc.

Text A heading

Text B footer

I know it sounds a bit odd, but does anyone know if there's a way for the Text B footer to be ordered first in a Contents list — even though Text A comes above it on the page? I've set the hierarchy in the Contents list to be Level 1 Text B and Level 2 Text A, but that's not working.

Any help gratefully received! 🙂

InDesign uses physical location of the TextFrames for the order of TOC entries.

As far as I know the horizontal position will make a difference if you have separate text frames.
