If you place PDFs in INDesign it is best to import PDF/X-4 at the best.

Where do the PDFs com from? Do they have their boxes correct? If you are not sure or if the are not printready PDFs, open them in Acrobat Pro. Go to print production > Preflight. There is a command to make PDF/X out of them. Then place these PDFs into InDesign.

It looks like you have white areas that are overprinting in InDesign and knocking out the background color on the pdf. The position looks ok. How are you viewing your pdf? You should use Acrobat or Reader with the page display preference to show overprinting set to "Always". What program created the original pdf? (Go to file> Properties> description in Acrobat), you might be able to open the original pdf in Illustrator, where you can change the overprinting white backgrounds to none, then save as a new pdf, which should allow your final exported pdf to be viewed correctly with any viewer setting.

Are you still having issues? Exporting to an interactive pdf can also remove overprinting.

Hi @Fran235904375dcp , when you Place the PDF, try clicking Show Import Options in the Place dialog, and then make sure Transparent Background is checked
