InDesign export to PDF shifted/repeated some pages

I had a really head scratching thing happen last week. We have a 36-pager program created in InDesign 18.5.1. Exported to PDF using pre-set parameter of [Press Quality] but with cropmarks and bleeds turned on. The PDF we got replaced 2 pages with other 2 pages in the document. How really odd. Then double checking the InDesign, nDesign document is as it should be, no missing pages nor repeating pages.

Not sure this has ever happen to others. In my 20+ years experience, I've never had InDesign export incorrectly for no reason.

I've been trying to replicate the situation the error but can't.

When you say that you couldn't replicate the problem did you mean using another document? Does this screwy problem reoccur with the same document? If the latter is the case then try exporting the document as an IDML and then opening that file in your version of InDesign. This process can remove some corruption from a document.

No. Same document, and could not make the same error happen again. Not sure what happened the first time to export in error.
