When I open an InDesign file, it is locked into just one monitor and will not allow me to move it to another screen like my other Adobe programs. Does anyone know why it does this?

Make sure the window is not maximized before you try to move it.

Hi @krissy_9501,

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with moving your InDesign file across monitors. To better assist, could you provide the following details?

1. The version of InDesign you're using.
2. The make and build of your monitors.
3. The OS version you're running.
4. Is this issue only happening with Creative Cloud desktop applications, or are third-party apps experiencing the same behavior?

In the meantime, a potential solution could be to reset your workspace layout or preferences. Sometimes, resetting preferences can fix display issues. You can do this by holding down 'Ctrl + Alt + Shift' (Windows) or 'Cmd + Option + Shift' (Mac) while launching InDesign. This will reset the app to its default settings. Let me know if that helps, and feel free to share any additional details!

Thanks,

Abhishek Rao
