Hi, I'm on the latest Indesign version (21.0) and my Save and Save as dialog windows are blank. It started last week, before that I did not have this problem. I am using a work-around as Save a copy window works.
I already tried setting preferences to the old dialog window, deleting caches and force restarting Indesign. So far to no avail. Adding a screenshot of the Save dialog window.
Can you start in safe mode and see if the problem persists?
If it's ok in Safe Mode - reboot normally - then open Task Manager and turn off applications one by one to see what's causing it.

I got onsite IT support here. They reinstalled the C++ redistributables, which did not help.
But then they started the Windows in a Safe mode, as Eugene suggested earlier (hold shift while clicking on a restart button in a Start menu, then Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings) started Indesign, then restarted the computer normally and it started working. Hope it helps.
Thanks a lot! Starting the Computer in safe mode --> open Indesign --> Reboot in normal mode --> open Indesign again worked perfectly. I have no clue why but it worked 😄

If the issue still continues after that, please also try disconnecting any active VPN and let me know whether there is any change. I will take it forward with the team based on your update.

Could you verify if the Save window operates properly when you are not connected to the domain, such as when working from home without a VPN? Merci pour votre retour mais après avoir renommer les 2 dossiers, réinitialiser les préférences et consulter les 2 liens que vous m'avez envoyé, rien ne fonctionne.
Je suis bie sur la dernière version d'indesign et je suis sous Ventura 13.0.1

Je te suggère de faire la mise à jour en 13.6.6 (la dernière version de Ventura)

Rien ne fonctionne et maintenant les espaces de travail personnalisés ne sont plus pris en compte et reviennent sur les indispensables à chaque fois. C'est très frustrant car je dois faire intervenir mon équipe informatique à chaque fois !

I simply dropped in the old settings file from the previous version
(C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\InDesign\Version 19.0\en_US\InDesign Defaults), and everything started working.

I had the same issue and was not able to restart in Safe Mode due to company rules and Bitlocker encryption.
Instead I turned off wifi on my computer - and then saved the Indesign-document. I was prompted to save locally since the cloud was not available. After saving succesfully, I could turn on the wifi again. The problem hasn't returned since.
