InDesign says "Out of Memory"

New Here ,

Hi, hoping someone has a FIX for this issue, recently got new iMac and InDesign now keeps telling me "out of memory" when I try to change to a new font then abruptly closes. iMac has Mojave 10.14.5 version. I tried Adobe support unfortunately, they told me there is no support for my CS6 Suite version 8.1. I tried to do updates but the InDesign update is now a 7 day free trial! I am in the printing business and this makes a huge obstacle to design files. HELP PLEASE

How much memory does your computer have?

What is the size of the INDD file?

Did you embed or link used images and other external files?

Are your out of memory issues with the new trial version? Or are these issues with the CS6 version? If you are in the printing business, then it seems it would be worth it for the $50 to get the CC suite. But further clarity will help us give you a recommended path.
