I'm having trouble with paragraph styles in InDesign not updating across the entire document when I make changes. I've modified a style, but only some text reflects the update, while others remain unchanged even though they're supposedly using the same style. Is there a reason why this happens, and how can I ensure all instances update properly? I'm using InDesign 2024 on Windows. Any help is appreciated!
Hi @allen_6410 , Also, If there are no override + symbols, make sure you don”t have both a Paragraph and Character Style applied to the intirer paragraph.
Here both paragraphs show no overrides because the first paragraph has a Character Style with different formatting appied to the text

With your Paragraph Styles Panel open select some text that is not updating and see if there is a plus sign next to the style that has been assigned to it. If there is then you will have to reapply the style while holding down the Alt key.

Hi @allen_6410 ,
if you look into @rob day 's screenshots you'll notice that there is a [a+] button in the Paragraph Styles panel and also in the Character Styles panel. Both buttons are the same function. Show style overrides on character or paragraph level.
Here an example where this option is enabled:
