Keep a javascript dialog box open all the time

I have a javascript dialog that has a few interactive dropdown lists and radio buttons that I would like to remain open. This way I could click an item of the dialog box, return to the indd doc and do more changes, and if needed return to the javascript dialog box (still open) and perform more functions to the doc.

I realize this can't be done? And thus, I need to open the dialog box each time I need it. But I was wondering if anybody knew of a free or inexpensive plugin creator that could be feed a javascript or applescript that could yield a free floating palette that interacts with InDesign? I don't know the first thing about creating plugins :(

Any advice?
Thanks,
Jeff

Look at my WrapNudger script. It keeps a ScriptUI dialog open all the time.

You're fast, Dave.

Floating palettes are supported by ScriptUI in InDesign CS3 and above.

Dave, this is great news. And your script itself is very nice. I probably should have mentioned I am using CS2. But that's okay, since we intend to upgrade within the year. The fact that what I asked for is a possibility is an incredible thing!
