If macOS, have you run a utility to correct disk permissions?

Hi @Ukulele,

It seems like you're encountering an issue while trying to set your favorite keyboard shortcuts in Adobe InDesign. The error message "Can't create a file for the set 'somename.indk' a disk error occurred" suggests that there might be a problem with disk access permissions.

One potential solution to this issue is to grant Adobe InDesign full disk access on your Mac. Here's how you can do it on macOS: https://adobe.ly/3V1xp0d

After granting full disk access to Adobe InDesign, try setting your keyboard shortcuts again and see if the issue persists. Hopefully, this resolves the problem for you.

If you continue to experience issues or if this solution doesn't work, please let us know, and we'll explore further options to help you resolve the problem.

Best regards,

Anshul Saini
