Link Info missing in Links panel in InDesign

Explorer ,
May 05, 2019 May 05, 2019

I have an Indesign doc open. When I click on an image in the layout that image should be highlighted in the links panel and details appear in the link info panel below. Now it doesn't. If i close Indesign sometimes when i re-open it works.

Could somebody please tell me how to have the link info panel active when i click on images in Indesign doc

Regards

Carl

Oh, and yes, it is concerning a linked graphic. Not vector or pixel artwork pasted into the doc.

Hi Andrew,

could be that your preferences are damaged.

See Steve Werner's answer:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign/link-info-missing-in-links-panel-in-indesign/m-p/10477196#M1...

Quit InDesign.

Backup preferences and cache folders of InDesign.

Delete preferences and cache folders of InDesign.

Restart InDesign.

Caches and preferences will be built from scratch.

Let's hope this is sufficient to see your placed and linked images in the Links panel again.

You'll find the places of your preferences and cache folders if you scroll down and inspect the table:
