make two text boxes into one

This is a basic question but all my efforts to find a solution end up with me being shown how to link text boxes. What I want to do is make two text boxes into one. In the image it shows two text boxes. I want to put the text from the bottom box into the top box so I end up with one box with all the text.

Delete the bottom frame, then resize the top one.

Thank you for your help but I'm afraid that does not work because the split frames are in the middle of a book. If I delete the bottom frame I would have to rezise the rest of the whole book.

No, you won't. Unless there is more that you are not telling us? 

 

From your screenshot it looks like the bottom one is the last one of this thread - it won't affect the next Pages.

Because both TextFrames are linked - text flows from top to bottom. 

 

As per @jmlevy suggestion - just delete one and resize the other.

 

If they were not linked - you'd have to combine - by copy&paste - contents first.
