Hello,
When we move a page from one document to another the track changes on the moved page are lost. Is there a way to keep them.
Thanks.

This might help - I just dragged the story to the desktop to create a Snippett
And I dragged that into a new document.
The Track Changes remained!

I don't see a way for this to happen. As the 'track changes' only tracks changes made in the document.
You can test this by closing all documents and go to Type>Track Changes and turn it on.
Then open your document - and your new document.
Move the pages to the new document
Track changes for that document now include the whole text as a tracked change.

Hmm. This is new to me, but there might be a way! Are you moving the page using a script? Changes belong to Stories, so you could try moving the story. I'll do a quick test in a bit and edit this post. - Mark

Thank you.
Currently it is through the UI. CC 2021.

@Pickory, does that solve your problem?
@Eugene Tyson, were you able to export the story? Or just the part of the story that is contained in a text frame?

It just gives one text frame, unfortunately.

Well that might not matter, because unless the frames are linked on the same page, moving the page will break any links anyway.

Great idea! I was wondering about that possibility.
