My background color keep affecting/covering my images

Hi everyone, im working on my cv, and for some reason the background color keeps overlaying onto my image. The background has been sent to back, and my image is the in the forground, I dont understand why the color of the background keep affecting my image

Hi @Mohammed Sharif , it looks like your placed image is a grayscale? Grayscale images can be assigned different colors for their white and black pixels to create duotone effects.

 

Here the placed image is selected and its assigned swatch is [Black]:

 

 

 

With its parent frame’s fill set to white:

 

 

The parent frame’s fill set to match the background Blue

 

 

The image fill set to Red

Check the blending mode of the image frame and the image itself.

It looks like the image is behind a color layer with transparency. In which case, see above answer.

Try selecting the background coloured layer then:

Object > Arrange > Send Backwards/Send to Back.

And lock it. Always lock backgrounds so they quit interfering with selection, grouping etc.
