Hello,
I am looking for someone that could help me by opening a 2001 .pmd (or .p65) file I have and saving it as an .indd. I've tried all that is possible suggestions I've got so far and have been researching all over the web but none of the solutions I've found are working for me. I don't have and can't find a InDesign CS version that works.
Does anyone here provide this service or could kindly open the file for me?
Thank you!

Supposedly LibreOffice can open PageMaker files. I don't know how well it does and you would have to export out as a PDF to get it back into the Adobe system.
I just opened up a PMD in LibreOffice, although it was a PMD autogenerated from one of our printers.

I have not heard anything about Libre Office being able to do that.

It's not a solution. The best you can hope to get using LibreOffice is snagging the text out of it, but on the tests I've tried, it's pretty bad at keeping any form of layout.

Or once open, just copy and paste it into an InDesign file.

WOW! Fantastic! It did work, although I believe my file is not complete or maybe (half) corrupted. But it worked! Thank you so much for your quick help! I am also being able to open .CDR files.

Who know how good the PMD decoded is as well in LibreOffice. It is open source. But it atleast gives you an option to get something out of the file.

Yes, to my surprise it did work. And it is true, that it does not hold a lot of the formatting, but it is a whole lot better than re-typing a 640 page novel. thanks
