Since InDesign has stopped recognizing TrueType (TT) fonts, I have a problem. Our standard company font is Montserrat. I added a non-TT Montserrat font to InDesign, but virtually every time I switch my text to Montserrat (the new one), InDesign chooses the Montserrat (TT) font. I have a heck of a time trying to get it to select the other one. How can I remove the TT font from being a choice? Thanks in advance for any and all help! (I am using a Windows computer.)

No, I think you have misunderstood. InDesign does not recognize PostScript fonts, also known as Type 1, but you can use TT fonts (TrueType) if you want.
But if you want to remove a font, if you don't use any font manager software, you just have to remove it from the font folder of your system.
