Neues Feature pdf 2 InDesign

Ich bin entsetzt, mit dem neuen Feature kann jetzt jeder meine Design abgreifen und selbst weiterführen!? Was denkt sich Adobe dabei? Ich überlege umzuschulen, denn Adobe zerstört meine Einkommensquelle - für die ich mir viel Expertise hart erarbeitet habe. Wie kann man so mit seinen Kunden umgehen. Ich bin empört.

What are you talking about? Is it that InDesign can open a PDF?

So can just about every other page layout application.

Well, my clients use InDesign. Also, I don't see why this is making it any better. If you don't have the document you're not supposed to work on it. Period. This is theft.

Sure. If you say so. But what's to keep anyone from copying your design? And if you add any kind of security to the PDF it won't open in InDesign.

For years QuarXPress, Affinity (Publisher) and of course Illustrator already could. Secure the pdf with a password for editing, easy, can even be done on export from InDesign. You are seeing a problem that simply isn't there.

I just can't believe how careless you are with this. 

Of course any layout can be copied - the question is, how easy it can be done and how many apps therefore are needed. But if you're fine with it, be. I'm not, never will be.

Then I have a suggestion: determine this kind of things in your contracts and secure your pdf with a password that prevent clients people opening it in InDesign..

Thank you for your suggestion. That has to be set on every pdf-file or do you know an automatism for that?

Ich glaube, die neue Funktion sollte das kleinste Problem sein.

Ich sehe es anders, nur weil ihr anderer Ansicht seid, bedeutet es nicht, dass diese Funktion in Ordnung ist. Damit braucht es immer weniger gut ausgebildeten Designer. Schön, wenn ihr das noch nicht spürt. Sich gegen Diebstahl vertraglich abzusichern ist ein lächerlicher Vorschlag. Und nicht ich sollte meine Arbeit schützen müssen, weil Adobe bereit ist, sie herzuschenken. Damit beende ich dieses Thema von meiner Seite aus.

You're blaming Adobe but keep ignoring that Quark and Affinity allow fo the same thing so even without the capability in InDesign what's to keep someone from opening the PDFs anywhere else.

Again, and as respectfully as I can be, the problem is yours. It's been explained to you that adding some security will stop these PDFs from opening in InDesign. If I were a lot younger, I'd be far more worried about AI.
