Pages skipped in exporting

When exporting a book to EPUB, I consistently get an error message reading "The file was exported but one or more problems were detected."  In the window below that it reads "Documents: 3 skipped. (Documents not found or received error during export.)"

The pages skipped aren't always the same, but are always part of a group in the last five or six pages of the book.  It's a 189 page book, exported in a Fixed layout.

Any help is appreciated!  Thanks.

Steve

Adding:  In subsequent upload attempts, different pages and different numbers of pages--2, 3, 4--were skipped. I'm converting a large file that was sent to an offset printer. Perhaps the size is too big?  Is there a size limit to either the overall file or individual pages?

EPUB, even fixed layout, requires that the book be in a single text flow. Multiple text flows (your "documents?") may export, but with unpredictable results such as being out of order or just skipped.

Layouts created strictly for print without observing some basic rules of structure rarely export properly to EPUB.

This basic primer might help you run down the problem:

Happy to answer more questions, although a fair warning that FXL export is either works/doesn't, without a lot of room to correct major problems as a process.

Keep in mind that's just a starting point. It's useful to have more or less the same understanding at both ends so that problems can be addressed without a lot of running tutorial or misunderstanding of terms or such.

More questions welcome, that is. 🙂
