Indesign 2017 Paragraph Panel is waaayyy buggy. When I go to manually change the "Space before" or "Space After", it replaces all my selected text rather than the value I have selected to change within the panel.
Any fix or update to the new Apps coming out soon?

Hi CheshireIsaacs,
how was this installer made available to you?
You said "by Adobe". Is there an official tech-note on this?
I myself would not install it, because I'm using a German version of InDesign on OSX and do not know, if this is for all localized versions of InDesign or maybe just for the English International one?
Can you tell us more about it?
If I unpack the zip an installer app—CopyTextPlugin.app—is unpacked that is showing a date from 2015.

So this might be something for CC 2015 users and not CC 2017 users.
This thread is about CC 2017.
Thanks,
Uwe

Hi Cheshire,
thank you.
Note: Your last message obviously was removed.
Wanted to quote you from this. So here is an excerpt:
This is definitely for 2017 -- a tech person responded to my bug report with this.
In the meanwhile I looked into the package of the app and discovered some specifities for CC 2017.
Seems that the installer is from 2015 and the payload is from March 6 2017.
But I ask myself why this fix is not distributed as update through the CC Desktop app ?
Where all Mac OSX user can benefit from the fix…
Important for everyone reading this:
Do not install the app from the link Cheshire gave until an official Adobe download link is there with a TechNote.
Nothing's personal regarding you, Cheshire, just security precautions.
Regards,
Uwe

Also, let me know of your feedback.
Thanks,

This still seems unresolved. This bug hits me more often than not. Today, it occurred in the Find/Change-dialogue. I either was not able to enter text into the search field or text I entered appeared in the wrong direction (from right to left). To reproduce this: Open Find/change, search for something you know is in the document (the found text is then selected). Now search for something that will not have any results. Then try to enter a new search - it won’t work (9 out of 10 times). It’s clearly related to the bug described here, because when you deselect the text that was found with the first search, text input in the Find/Change dialogue once again works.
The script linked above is not signed by a verified developer. After running it, InDesign would not start again, I had to reinstall it.
(And yes, I have disabled the type contextuals controls, that did not help.)
