I have a parent page with a logo at the bottom. In the past, the logo was always visible, even if the advertisement I placed on these pages was a full bleed. Now it is not visible when I place (import) a full bleed graphic on the page. It does not look like there are any layers to arrange, and I have no idea what setting I must have changed inadvertently.

I often build layers in the Layers panel in this order from bottom to top:
ParentPageObjects (top)
Text
Graphics
Background (bottom)
When you double-click onto the Parent page icon in the Pages panel, and use the black Selection tool to select the graphic on the page, what layer does it show itself to be on?
Put it on a top-most layer.

You should always work with layers and they should have the same names and order, so that no problems appear with copy and paste and the setting in the layer panel 'Paste remember layers'.
I recommend background, images, text, page numbers, logo down up.
Put your logo on the logo layer on the parent page, background colors and background images on the background layer.
The problem is that any object on the pages will be above and covering all objects on the same layer on the parent pages. The solution is to work with layers. An object on the top layer will always cover objects on layers below, regardless if they are on the master/parent or on a page.
The other problem is, when you copy an object from a file with a layer and the setting 'Paste remembee layers' is active, the object is pasted on the layer with the same name and if such a layer is not found, it will be addes. And if the order is different, the visibility will be different depending on on the order of layers.

Hi Paige:
So you are using layers: you have Footer and Layer 1. I'm guessing the ad should have been placed on Layer 1, but Footer was active and it was added there instead.
Just drag the image down to Layer 1.
