PDF into INDD into PDF size problem

Explorer ,
Dec 02, 2019 Dec 02, 2019

So this is a bit of a specific problem, after I imported 3 different PDF files into INDD and then exported it back to PDF, the file got to 200MB while the 3PDFs combined are 20MB.

What I think is happening here is that for every page in INDD where the PDF is imported it imports the whole PDF file while just showing the page I wanted to import, at least the math adds up.

Don't think so - it's probably your compression settings for exporting your new PDF.

Try different PDF settings and compression levels.

I mean there is nothing to compress, evrything is vector.

EDIT: I compressed every image to be at 10DPI and the file size did not change at all

"I mean there is nothing to compress, everything is vector." and  "I compressed everything to be at 10DPI"?

If everything is vector, there's no such thing as DPI or PPI. Otherwise, you might have rasterized it unadvertedly?

But even if I rasterised it the file size with 300DPI should have went lower after I changed it to be 10DPI but nothing changed at all, what I wanted to say that tab doesent change anything there.

I mean my guess is still same as the one I told in the begining. Ah I srsly dont know how to fix this 😞
