Hi, brand new hear so please bear with me.
I am in the process of building out a website and one of the features/products I will be offering is a photobook with the ability for clients to upload images to specific templates. This is the key feature as the photobook is specific to these designs/templates. I'm scouring the web looking for ways for me to accomplish this and have yet to find a solution which leads me here, as they say if you want something done then do it yourself. My questions is what software should I purchase and then learn in order to accomplish this and also if anyone knows other solutions please let me know....
All help is appreciated....

By searching "web to print" you will find numerous online solutions that provide everything from the e-commerce/ordering up to the tools to create the studio for visitors to upload images and customize content. Here is one that include a photobook solution.

There's no InDesign feature that would help you with that—ID is a (mostly) print pagelayout application. Seems like you would start with a content management system like WordPress where there might be a plugin that would take uploads, other than that it would take some fairly advanced coding.

Yes, I have the wordpress site and it is up and running, this component I am speaking about is on top of the website itself ... I've searched through all the plugins and have yet to find.

No, I have not worked with that particular solution. But our company does work with a few "Web to Print" solution providers, one is PageDNA. My observation with this solution is that a non-programmer can create a basic portal for online content customization, but to develop more comprehensive or dynamic features to site, it is essential that you have a good understanding of Python.
