Question about using indesign to create a catalog utilizing Data Merge

Trying to create a multiple page catalog in indesign using a csv excel file is it possible for the data merge to fill across the entirety of the catalog that has several pages with different page layouts?

If you're looking for the design flexibility and variation shown in your examples, you're going to need something more robust than InDesign's Data Merge capabilities.
