In CS6, when a link is missing and you want to relink it, there is a checkbox at the bottom of the pop up window that says "Search for missing links in this folder". I have it checked but it doesn't seem to find the links even though they are in the currently viewed folder. InDesign used to find and highlight the missing link if it was in the current folder you are viewing but this feature doesn't seem to be working. If teh file has a long name or is buried deep in several folders, the file name is truncated and you can't see what file you are looking for so it makes it difficult when InDesign used to easily find the missing link if you could just tell it what folder the missing file was located in. I believe this is the problem that der jan is referring to and I am frustrated by this same situation.
