While I am starting to feel that I really understand how to work in ID (maybe i am dillusioned?), of course with the gracious help of the members of this awesome community, there is a problem that keeps recurring again and again. And i feel so helpless because i just cannot undertand what is causing it:
Many times at the bottom of a text frame there is a large white space (sometimes at the beginning). There is pleanty of room for more lines of text to fit in and from the next threaded text frame and in the next frame there are just a few lines in that paragraph. SO why is it breaking and throwing too much to the next frame?
This is what I have tried:
1. Turned off all keep options.
2. Inspected hidden break charachtres etc.
3. Checked all paragraph options like space before and after etc.
4. Everything I can think of
And I still cannot ace it.
I would invest a lot of money for an add-on that whenever the text doesn't fill to the end of the text frame it says:
"The reason this text frame is not getting filled is because ????"
Ii would keep me away from the mental health crisis hotline 🙂
Any ideas?
Thank you, and have a good day!

Would be easier to diagnose if we could see the file.

Hi,
Are you able to share a sample document that shows the problem ( or multiple if you have them) maybe someone on the forum will be able to spot something?

Do you use multiple returns to get space between paragraphs?
Does your document has footnotes?
