I was trying to create a pdf with some short videos included that I could send to clients. I didn't realize that the videos I watched where you can export videos included in a PDF were old and that this was no longer possible (at least to my knowledge). So if there isn't a way export the document with the video included, why is there even an option to import videos? It's like going to a restaurant, ordering from the menu and they tell you they actually don't make that dish. If that's the case, shouldn't that option just be removed?

To include video in an Interactive PDF, include a link to an external site such as Youtube video or similar.

Your analogy is not at all accurate. There are formats (EPUB and Publish Online) where it does work.

As noted, some options apply to more than one export format.

Given that almost any kind of document with video, even remote links, is likely to be bulky and thus unappreciated by clients and prospects and the like, I'd suggest doing your presentation as a web page and sending the link. (Publish Online is the halfway step to that, exporting ID layouts to a web format, but on a specific hosted system.)

By building it as a web page, you have almost no limits on interactive and multimedia elements, and you don't clog up anyone's inbox or make them download some enormous file.
