Can I use find and replace to change all double-hyphens to emdashes?
If so, how?

Hi @Kelli Jae Baeli, you're on the right track.

Just change the "Change To" field with the correct metacharacter for an em-dash: ^_ (underscore).

I thought I found it. I didn't see the pull down on the REPLACE box. I selected emdash there. BUT...it replaces it with a dash. NOT an emdash. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you! That worked.

Now, why would they put the wrong code for the emdash in that selection box?

Could be a mouse slip or mis-click.

^~ = a nonbreaking hyphen, which is at the bottom of that drop-down menu after the en-dash.
