Whenever I try to select type in InDEsign 2023, my screen goes white and have to stop selecting to get the page bakc--as if it's refreshing. I still have 2022 on my computer and it does not happen there>
2018 Mac Mini with32GB RAM using latest version of Sonoma
Unfortunately, InDesign is not yet supported on Sonoma. Frequently reported issues include a white screen and screen flickering plus a few other more minor issues.
You can roll back to Ventura or use 2022 for now (how great to hear that 2022 is working!). Keep an eye on this page, which will let us know when it is supported on 2023 and 2024: https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/system-requirements.html.
Apple and Adobe don't synchronize their upgrades. It's really up to us as users to make sure that we don't upgrade our operating system until the applications that we rely are supported on them. It's a lesson many of us have learned the hard way.
