Hi there,
I'm new to InDesign and I'd like to know if there is a wa y to add opacity to a specific area of a docuemnt.
I have a docuemnt with photos in the background and a text box. I decreased the opacity to 65% for the images in the backgroung but would like to have it to 100% in the text box (which includes part of the images).
Is there a way to do that?
Thanks for your help.

You could duplicate the background image on top of the background image. That way, one frame object could have opacity 65% and the front dublicate image could be opacity 100%. Simply make the frame size smaller to match the region like the text box object. A total of 3 frame objects.

Hi domanni1009:
Great! Then follow Mike’s instructions in the first post—that’s exactly what I did.

Another option would be to use transparency knock-out option.
Could be handier if you have to move your text frame around....
