I do not use the application frame in InDesign and I want the ability to click on my desktop.
InDesign defaults to open documents as full screen and I have to resize my window EVERY TIME I open a new document. (see attached image example).
Is there any way to define a permanant document window size? I believe this was recently addressed for the Windows version.
Please help, I've been resizing windows for years and getting really tired of it.

As a very long term Mac user and trainer, I've never heard of a reliable way of saving your window positions in any version of InDesign or any macOS without using the Application Frame.
As a trainer, I'm a big fan of the Application Frame because it prevents the distractions of having multiple applications open on screen, and it ensures a consistent appearance. The the InDesign frame itself can still be reized when the occasion arises that you want to see another application at the same time.

Thanks...but as 20+ year adobe user I have workflow preferences that I feel are most efficient. I often have multiple applications open and enjoy the flexibility of accessing documents with a single click or positiong files from different programs side by side while working.
I actually don't need to save the window position...would just appreciate the option of turning off full screen document view when opened (Photoshop does not force full screen...endlessy frustrating that adobe programs do not share basic functionalty attributes).
I'm hoping maybe someone knows of a script that might fix my dilemma.
