Slideshow doesn't work when exporting as interactive pdf

I need some help.

I am designing an interactive portfolio and in this document I added a slideshow. The slideshow is made with objects states en two interactive buttons with actions ''go to next state'' and ''got to previous state''.

Within Indesign, this slideshow works. But when I export it to interactive PDF, it doesn't! The other interactive elements do work (like playing a video, ticking boxes and clicking on a button to go to a particular page).

I am working on a Macbook Pro and using the 2019 version of Indesign (as 2020 has less interactive options)

Does anybody what the problem might be?

As with many interactive features, Interactive PDF doesn't support object states. You might try creating the slide show using the Publish Online feature which does support them. Here's a tutorial:

Thanks for your help and the link, I've exported it using the Publish Online feature and almost everything worked!

Only the button to go to a particular page didn't work with this feature. But I changed the buttons to hyperlink and that worked fine!

As Steve says, it doesn't work at all, but you are also going to be sorely disappointed in the other interactive features as well. Video is dependent on Flash Player which is NOT installed by default on most computers and is being EOLed by Adobe.

You should completely rethink this project as you cannot possibly control what the recipient will try to open it with. Mobile devices and browsers won't work with must interactivity.
