Morning community yet again another new InDesign BUG - it seems ADOBE products these days are littered with idiosyncratic anomalies - which are sent to plague our creative days and destroy our productivity - I have tested multiple snap to distances (PIXEL PREFS) - I have attempted to reset smart guides (PREFS) I have reinstalled InDesign checked version update etc - restarted MAC - gone through all of the normal dull procedures ADOBE send you through before admitting there may be software issues - Most of my current productivity issues seem to have hit critical mass with Indesign 2022 on a M1 MAC running IOS Monterey - any advice from the community will be very much appreciated. PS - starting to lose both faith and patients with Adobe after being a loyal user since early 1994

I don't work with pixels as a unit of measure, but I gave it a try and found that you can place a guide between pixels, but objects seem to snap to whole-number pixels. For example, if you set a guide to X=100px Y=80px, you can snap an object to those guides. But, if you try to drag the object to 99.5x79.5, it will snap to 99x79, whether or not you have guides or not. And, since you can place guides at 99.5x79.5, you would hope that you could snap to them, but I don't seem to be able to. You can, though, place the object at 99.5x79.5 by entering the X & Y coordinates in the Control pannel.
I'm not sure if this info is helpful, but it's what I found.

Thank you Migintosh - Sadly using defined parameters through X + Y coordinates whilst a magic idea for CAD-like operations - doesn't solve my issue for fast editorial work - this is a new issue snap to a guide has always been fine up until the last few days. I do appreciate your kind response and hugely appreciate that you've gone to the effort of testing the scenario thank you.
Warmest Regards SODA
