I have a 42 page brochure where i am listing the features, however whn i use a soft return in the text box on the left it will return with no indentation. But doing the same in the text box on the right, i get an indentation.
Neither are checked as bullet points (the bullets are inputed characters, as i didnt know i could there was bullet point button). Both have the same character and paragraph styles applied.
I need to have all the text boxes to behave like the right hand example.
Please help me, i can't work out what i need to change to achieve this.

You need to create a hanging indent—automatic if you replace the manual bullet/space with the bullet feature. Othewise, change the space after the bullet to a tab and adjust the indents. Can be automated with Find/Change.

Set the paragraph style's hanging indent: a combination of left indent and (negative) first line left indent. And use a tab after the bullet.
