Hi... we have recently updated from CS6 to the Creative Cloud and have started creating/amending artwork with the new software.
Today we amended a brochure, which last page is a Master Page in solid blue background with white lettering on it.
In InD it shows perfectly as set but when exported the solid blue is turning to white (see screenshot attached)
Has anyone encountered this issue and maybe has a clue as to why this is happening and how to resolve it?
Tried...
Thanks
martha

Which PDF version did you select?

Presumably the document is not for print, but for checking purposes does the issue occur when you select PDF/X-4?

The brochure is created for print and exported in an interactive format for download and sharing on our Hub.
The options for PDF are only available when exporting for print, when exporting as an interactive pdf the options are different.

But do you have the issue you describe when you export it as a PDFX/4?

Hi Derek... unfortunately yes, event exporting the print version with that option is producing a white page for me.
Very weird problem never encountered this before, that I set up a solid page and I can't see it in the export!

I'm not clear about the role of using the Master page just for the last page – have I got that right and, if so, what is its function?

Would it be possible that you have used the [paper] color swatch and changed it to a solid blue?

Ha ! That's a good guess !! But then all pages should have turned blue. Unless... there's a non-Paper white large frame on all other pages (or on the master) and except for that cover page. It's a long shot, but I like it 😉

Hi Martha,
if you go to the last page in your document and switch view to Overprint Preview would the page show white?
Then it could be that the object on the applied master is set to nonprinting.

Uwe

UPDATE
The issue is only happening on my machine.
We have now exported this from a colleague's machine and the export is both correct in print and in interactive mode.
So issue is not related to the setup of the document otherwise it would have not worked either.
Our IT are looking into the issue now.
Thanks everyone for feedback.

Set to Non-printing? Look at attributes. Or: on a Layer that is set not to print?
