Hey there, I am trying to sort some Text and I'd like to keep different Formats. But if I try to Retain Formats i get an error popup: "JavaScript Fehler! Fehlernummer: 45, Object is invalid
in Line 141 myStringB = myParagraphs.item(myCounter+1).contents.toLowerCase();
How can i keep the formatting while sorting?
Cheers,
Christian
Hi Christian,
I'd suggest you could also look at Peter Kahrel's version of a Paragraph Sorter script:
Language-aware paragraph/line sorter | Peter Kahrel

I've moved your question to the scripting forum. I suspect the folks here would like to know what version of InDesign you are using.

ok, damit scheint's zu funktionieren. trotzdem wäre es cool wenn das mitgelieferte Skript fehlerfrei laufen würde.

Hi Christian,
unfortunately the pre-installed scripts were never maintained.
So I think, the day has come when one of the scripts will break.
You can write a bug report and supply it to the developers:
Prepare an open InDesign file as use case where the script is not working, upload it to your Dropbox account and provide the download link with the bug report.
